I'm really excited to point out a few of the interesting and significant sessions at ARC's upcoming conference, the twentieth annual ARC Industry Forum in Orlando.  If you're planning to attend, be sure to check out these sessions.

You will be blown away by Renault Sport Formula 1 Team!   (Tuesday Feb 9, 2PM, Dare to Disrupt)

Racing teams are in the business of innovation, which requires agility, a focused mindset, and the ability to switch gears at a moment’s notice – even if that requires you to drop everything you’ve been working on. How does an organization like this plan a systems upgrade, when the picture of tomorrow’s needs will surely change in the next moment? This is exactly the task Lotus F1 Team’s COO Thomas Mayer faced.

ARC Forum 2016 Innovation TransformationIf Analytics is on your mind - and it is for many of our clients - then you might want to check out the sessions, The Golden Age of Machine Learning (Feb 9 at 2PM) and Analytics in the Age of the Industrial Internet of Things (Feb 9 at 4PM).   Learn more about the many industry applications for cognitive computing and predictive analytics.

Need to make your products 'Smart and Connected'?  There's a workshop for that! (Monday Feb 8, 2-4 PM, Realizing IIoT-Enabled Machines.) We cover all the important aspects in quick succession, starting with sensors in the field (quite literally - Analog Devices has a fascinating presentation on the Internet of Tomatoes).  In the factory, you want smart connected assets, but you certainly won't rip out what you've got in order to achieve it.  PTC and GE will let you know how they are doing just that in GE factories in their session, Platforms and Software for Smart Connected Machines,  GE Predix and PTC ThingWorx are a big part of the story.  For an accessible real world example of how to realize IIoT-enabled machines, you can't beat SJE Rhombus' story about deploying an AMI Global solution.  Rounding out this workshop, learn about the excellent work underway in Intelligent Machining Research Projects at the Digital Manufacturing & Design Innovation Institute.

You'll also want to take in the Designing the Smart Connected Product session (Wednesday Feb 10 at 2PM).

Speaking of Smart, we also have a workshop devoted to Smart Manufacturing.  This workshop was hugely popular at last year's Forum, and we expect a lot of interest again this year because real results are now available.  Stop in to the Demonstrating Smart Manufacturing Results in Process and Hybrid Industries workshop (Monday at 4PM).

If Asset Performance Management is your thing, don't miss Moving to Predictive Maintenance with Industrial Internet of Things (Monday Feb 8 at 2PM), Minimizing Safety Risks with Asset Performance Management (Wednesday Feb 10 at 3PM), and The Intersection of Enterprise Asset Management and Industrial Internet of Things (Wednesday Feb 10 at 10:30AM)

Looking for Aftermarket Service?  Service Performance Management by OEMs with Industrial IoT (Wednesday Feb 10 at 4PM) and Industrial IoT Enriches Remote Monitoring (Thursday Feb 11 at 8:30AM)

What about innovations in the Supply Chain?  We have an excellent session, Building a Supply Chain Control Tower for IIoT Visibility (Thursday Feb 11 at 8:30AM) that you won't want to miss.  Some of the largest companies in the world are building next generation control towers to manage their global supply chains, and you can learn more about it at this session.

That's just the tip of the iceberg, there's a lot more I don't have space for.  You can see the complete agenda here.
