In his short video presentation at the 2020 ARC Industry Forum in Orlando, ABB's Luis Duran, representing the Open Process Automation Forum's (OPAF) Certification and Conformance Working Group, provides a brief overview of the group's efforts to convert the O-PAS specification into a process that enables certified products to be brought to market. The goal is to help end users reduce integration costs, improve plant performance, and overcome system obsolescence issues through plug-and-play interoperability between different suppliers' products within a common open process automation system. (OPAF is a forum of The Open Group.)
